2026 Seltos cruise control issue

I have an issue with my cruise control, I'm hoping someone can help me sort it out. I've been having problems engaging the cruise control, many times when CRUISE shows up on the instrument cluster, it is accompanied by the word "LIMIT." In this condition, the cruise does not engage and the car slows down (it will slow down to a complete stop if you don't intervene). I took the car to my local dealer for service last week and asked them about this. At first, they told me that the previous owner must have set a "limit," and it would have to be cleared from the system. The service manager tried to help me do this, but he was not able to figure it out. We then went for a test drive and the cruise control was working perfectly for him. He told me that you have to lightly tap the cruise control button for it to engage properly. If you hold it too long, the LIMIT shows up. After the test drive, he then told me this was normal. The cruise control does seem to work fine when I tap it lightly, but it seems to me like something is not right. Has anyone else experienced this?

I have a 2022 Seltos, since I've had it when in cruise it will sift down and stay in a lower gear (gas engine noise etc.) eah time I have taken it in for service I have complained about it - dealer test drives it and it doesn't happen, this time a mechanic went with me and it did happen repeatedly he put the computer on it and said he would report it to KIA (didn't know cause or fix) and went in 2 weeks later to ask and was told KIA would require a recording of the problem. I brought the car back for a day and had it done, went in today and was told that Kia's response was this is a common problem with this transmission! ( I wondered if I stopped paying for the care when confronted for non payment I told KIA that this was a common problem with purchasers if that would be a satisfactory explanation for them)
