Kia Continues teasing with new photos of the Seltos

Continuing its teaser campaign, Kia has revealed more bits and pieces of the coming 2020 Seltos subcompact SUV in a YouTube video. The brand has promised to pull the sheet off this month and provide actual details of the new little SUV that will bulk up its lineup for U.S. — and now even global buyers — panting for more SUVs, not cars.

It looks as interesting as sister brand Hyundai’s new 2020 Venue small hatchback and little Kona SUV. And Kia says the Seltos is similarly aimed to be millennial bait for its showrooms. We showed you earlier the teaser sketches revealing much of the interior design, which is dominated by an oversize (for a small mainstream SUV) 10.25-inch touchscreen. Kia also has said it will offer LED lights front and rear, plus Kia Soul-like “Sound Mood” color ambient lighting that sets the right mood for your music.

The video shows nothing that differs significantly from spy photos of a naked prototype on the street. It also reveals details that are very much like the Signature Concept that Kia unveiled in Seoul in the spring, which it called a “preview” of its new “production-ready compact SUV.” As with the earlier interior and exterior sketches of the Seltos, the latest tease also tells us nothing about the powertrains or availability of all-wheel drive.
